About

Our Core Values

Our values aren’t a poster in the break room. They decide how we staff a project, how we review a drawing and how fast you hear back from us.

We built this firm so engineers can do careful work and still make it home for dinner. That shapes how we take on projects, how we staff them and how we plan around real deadlines instead of constant fire drills. For our clients, it means the engineer who started your project is still here to finish it. For our team, it means a career you can hold onto for decades.

Engineers here take on real responsibility early. Younger staff run calculations, sit in client meetings and see projects through from concept to construction. Senior engineers stay close enough to catch a problem before it reaches a sealed drawing. Clients get fresh attention on their project without giving up experienced oversight.

Every set leaves here coordinated and buildable. We check our own work before a reviewer, a contractor or an owner has to check it for us. Civil and structural drawings are reconciled against each other, not issued in parallel and hoped for the best. The payoff shows up later, in cleaner plan review and fewer change orders during construction.

You get a direct line to the engineer on your project, not a support queue. When a question comes in from the field, we answer it while the answer still affects the schedule. We would rather take a call at an inconvenient hour than let a crew stand around waiting on us. Responsiveness is a design decision here, not a personality trait we hope somebody has.

Civil and structural sit under one roof at Live Oak. Grading, drainage and utility design get worked out alongside foundations and framing, not handed across a gap between two firms. When something changes on one side, the other side knows the same day. You spend less time refereeing between consultants and more time building.

Mission and Vision

We build families while delivering a responsive, collaborative design process that produces a positive outcome for everyone at the table.

An engineering firm where a balanced life and serious technical work are not in conflict.
